2020 is the 50th birthday of Teddington Methodist Playgroup!
At the Teddington Methodist Playgroup we offer preschool for 2 year olds until they go on to school. We are a non-profit making group which was started in 1970 by church members and pride ourselves on the very high standard of care we offer the local community.
Sue O’Byrne and Debbie Larkin have been at the helm for the last 17 years and are well known to many families in the surrounding area.
We offer a friendly happy environment to help your child make the transition from home to playgroup. Our qualified members of staff, who have been working together as a team for many years, offer a caring nurturing environment in which children flourish.
“My daughter has grown in confidence and independence ever since she started at the playgroup.” mum of Gracie
With an emphasis on play, using observations and a key person approach, we aim to support each child in reaching their full potential.
The playgroup is a member of the Richmond upon Thames Early Years Partnership Scheme and is registered and inspected by the Office for Standards in Education (OFSTED). Playgroup fees may be paid by Childcare Vouchers, cash, cheque or BACs payment. We will apply for Early Education Funding (EEF) the term after your child’s 3rd Birthday. More details available on application.
A management committee of church, staff and parent representatives is accountable for the playgroup and meetings are held termly.
We welcome all faiths and cultures and are dedicated to providing children with the best possible start in life.
